Linguine in Spicy Red Clam Sauce

The Secret World of Anchovies:
If you really hate the idea of anchovies, simply omit them from the recipe. Increase the olive oil to 4 tablespoons. Try it with anchovies, however - they are the secret ingredient in some of the world's greatest dishes!

Featuring the following Elzinga plants:
1 pound linguine 2 tablespoons olive oil
2 large garlic cloves, chopped
1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon dried Fresh Flavor™ Cayenne Pepper flakes
1/2 can (1 ounce) flat anchovies, drained, reserve the oil, chopped
2 cans (6 1/2 ounces each) chopped clams, drained with juices reserved
2 cups - diced Fresh Flavor™ Tomatoes
1 can (2 1/4 ounces) sliced black olives, drained
1/2 cup white wine
1 cup thinly sliced green onions
1/3 cup chopped Fresh Flavor™ Basil
Directions
Cook the pasta according to package directions.

Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over a medium heat. Add the garlic and stir in the pan for 30 seconds. Add the pepper flakes, anchovies, reserved clam juice, tomatoes, olives, and wine. Bring to a simmer and cook for 10 minutes.

Add the clams, anchovy oil, scallions, and basil and simmer for 1 minute, or until heated through.

Drain the pasta and toss with the sauce. Serve immediately.
